Refunds

Refunds are decided by the organization you paid. Ask them first. Organizations can refund payments, fully or partly, from Form40; the money returns to the card or account you paid with, usually within a few business days.

Reporting a problem

If you think a form is a scam, impersonates someone, asks for sensitive details, or you paid and didn't receive what was promised, use the "report it" link in your receipt or "Report this form" on the form. Reports go to Form40, not the organization.

What happens next

• A report of fraud, phishing, impersonation or non-delivery about a payment freezes that payment's share in the organization's balance while we review it.
• Repeated fraud reports about one organization automatically hold its payouts and pause its payment forms.
• We may contact you and the organization. Organizations have 5 business days to respond.
• Outcomes: we release the funds to the organization, refund you, or suspend or ban the organization. After a ban, held funds are used first to refund payers who reported problems.

We cannot guarantee recovery of money that has already been paid out to an organization.
